The USF College of Business Administration will provide a high-quality, diverse learning environment preparing students to contribute to and take leading positions in business and society. Our teaching, scholarship and service will link theory and practice to benefit the University and the communities it serves.
The Management Information Systems (MIS) major is intended to provide students with an understanding of key concepts and the ability to use specific tools involved in developing, implementing, and managing information systems in contemporary organizations. In addition to major requirements, all students complete the Strategic Management capstone course and the Business Core, a series of courses that address the need for foundation business knowledge in accounting, economics, finance, marketing, information systems, quantitative methods, and the legal environment of business. Together, these courses prepare students for a variety of entry-level positions in the MIS industry as well as for graduate study in MIS.
