The University of South Florida is seeking a qualified individual to serve as the Director of Research Integrity and Compliance. The incumbent will direct, coordinate, and supervise the administrative and fiscal functions of the Division of Research Integrity & Compliance (DRIC). With a budget of >$3.5 million and a staff of 31 highly qualified personnel, DRIC provides support for the following functions: AAHRPP-accredited Human Subject Protection Program (includes IRB, HIPPAA, etc.), AALACC-accredited Animal Care & Use Program (IACUC), Conflict of Interest, Biosafety, Radiation Safety, Diving Safety, Research Misconduct, Education & Training and Quality Assurance programs. The staff at DRIC provides services to investigators at USF, USF Health, Tampa General Hospital, H. Lee Moffitt Cancer Center & Research Institute, James Haley Veterans Administration Hospital, and other affiliate partners.

Qualifications: Master’s or doctoral degree in biomedical, social science or related field; over five years of experience in managing research compliance in a complex academic environment; significant management experience in a leadership position; excellent verbal and written communication skills; demonstrated knowledge of experience in interpreting and implementing Federal, State and Institutional policies and procedures; and excellent time management and team leadership skills.
