How and when did you first become interested in your field of study?

My father encouraged me to pursue engineering and I’ve always found the mathematical and visual aspects of design fascinating.

What made you decide to pursue a career in higher education? 

I’ve always loved teaching and the pursuit of knowledge. It seemed like the best way to be able to be constantly learning and teaching

Why did you choose to be a part of the academic community at USF?

The opportunities at USF were very good to be able to pursue my research in MEMS and in biomedical (prosthetics) design.

What do you enjoy about teaching the students of USF?

The students at USF are a diverse group and each student brings a unique perspective. Each semester I teach, I gain new insights and perspectives from students.

What do you like about the university community?

There is an amazing amount of creative energy and talent here at USF. I find the opportunity to interact with so many brilliant people to be very stimulating and exciting.
