Dr. Dwayne Smith, Senior Vice Provost for Faculty Affairs

About

The Senior Vice Provost serves as the Provost's representative in all matters related to faculty development, including recruitment, hiring, orientation,  and tenure/ promotion; provides consultation to chairs and deans on faculty issues as well as university regulations and policies; assists the Provost in developing college targets and the resource allocation process; represents Academic Affairs in developing and implementing University compliance programs; and serves as Acting Provost in the absence of the Provost. Dr. Smith is assisted by Vice Provost Kofi Glover, who has primary responsibility for collective bargaining, faculty grievances, and other personnel-related matters.
